Eight solar cycles after looting Zalcoatl's crown without any sign of the alleged curse, Dash Robinson is at a crossroad once again. After a facial reconstruction surgery, his new friend and mentor Bob Wright has gone missing. Together Dash and Aye Ling travel back to the far East in search of him, but as Dash longs to return to a place where he is not a racial minority, he begins to hear voices, he feels the call to fulfill his prophesized fate just as did his cursed mentor turned nemesis, Robert Smith!
